A visited tile is different from a completed road

A map tile represents an area. A road-coverage score represents the roads you have traveled. Those measures answer different questions: “Where have I been?” and “Which roads have I covered?” Visiting a tile is not a claim that you have traveled every street inside it. Choose the measure that matches the kind of exploration you enjoy.

When Uncover may fit

Choose Uncover if you want a map that records discoveries directly on your phone. Enable location access and background recording, then look back at your discovered tiles and explored area. It suits someone who wants everyday movement to build a personal record without organizing that record around a connected training account.

When Wandrer may fit

If you already record walks or rides with a supported activity service, its connected workflow may fit your routine. Its road-based scoring may also be a better match if your goal is to work through the streets of a neighborhood rather than collect visited areas. Its FAQ explains how roads and achievements count toward your score.

Which one should I choose for a new neighborhood?

For a picture of the areas you visit, Uncover’s tile map may be enough. For a goal such as covering the neighborhood’s roads, Wandrer’s scoring is more directly aligned. Think about the question you want your map to answer after each outing.
